EUREGIO
The EUREGIO Rhine-Waal is an important part of Rijn IJssels internationalisation programme. Our region borders Germany, and the EUREGIO supports collaboration between the Netherlands and Germany especially in the border area.
Goal: to live, learn and work together in one shared region.
The EUREGIO provides several funding opportunities. Rijn IJssel uses these to help students discover:
- the work culture
- the language
- and the professional field in Germany
This happens through exchanges and internships across the border.
Interreg VI
Interreg is a European cooperation programme that supports collaboration between neighbouring countries especially in border regions.
Interreg VI NetherlandsGermany runs from 2021 to 2027.
As part of this programme, Rijn IJssel is a stakeholder in the project De Ler(n)ende Euregio.
In this project, vocational schools, training companies and public institutions work together to share knowledge and build expertise on vocational education in the Rhine-Waal region.
