Trip to Düsseldorf: learning and exploring

Students from the Marketing and Communication Specialist programme went on a fun and educational two-day trip to Düsseldorf. One of them shares their experience!
First impressions of Düsseldorf
In the morning, we took the train with our group. Not long after, we arrived in Düsseldorf. I got to practise my German right away
I ordered my very first German sandwich at a local bakery .After checking in at the hotel, we explored the city on foot. One of the highlights was the interactive Film Museum. We learned all about the history of film and media
and even got to try out some old-school film techniques ourselves. That was really fun!Getting started with city marketing
In the afternoon, we worked on a city marketing assignment. The goal: make Düsseldorf more appealing to young people from the Arnhem region.
We went into the city to:
- collect ideas
- take photos and videos
- create a cool city marketing plan
We ended the day with a cosy dinner at a local restaurant. A perfect end to day one!
Cycling and presenting
The next morning, we went on a bike tour through the city. We planned our own route past the main highlights of Düsseldorf. At each stop, someone from the group gave a short presentation in German. Great for practising the language
and learning more about the culture.Free time and heading home
After the tour, we had some free time. I used it to take extra footage for our vlog and enjoy the city a bit more.
Later that afternoon, we travelled back to Arnhem. We were all pretty tired
but I really enjoyed the whole trip!Want to study in a hands-on, real-life learning environment?
